Views section of the 33rd SUNCINE presents ten films inviting us to observe the planet from perspectives that are intimate, diverse and deeply human. These ten stories focus on people, communities and species living with the consequences of the environmental crisis, as well as those who choose to take action and bring about change.
The selection takes us from the survival of musk oxen in the Arctic to the protection of British Columbia’s ancient forests; and from animal rescue in the Shetland Islands to environmental education through birdwatching in Colombia. It also explores the contradictions of the energy transition, climate migration, pollution in the Mediterranean, the need to restore nature and the possibility of imagining simpler, more responsible ways of living that respect other animals.
