SUNCINE presents “For a Cinema with Soul”, a talk led by Assumpta Serna and Scott Cleverdon that highlights ethics as a fundamental pillar of a responsible audiovisual sector. The session reflects on how sustainability can only be real and transformative when grounded in core values: from resource management and mobility to how we portray the world and address environmental challenges.
With this initiative, SUNCINE reaffirms its mission: to promote a cinema that not only talks about the planet, but is also produced with coherence, respect, and commitment.
The event is based on a clear idea: ethics is the driving force behind any meaningful change. It gives purpose to our decisions, to the models we build, and to the practices we adopt. Without this ethical perspective, sustainability becomes mere protocol; with it, it transforms into an attitude, a commitment, and a way of engaging with the planet and with one another.
This approach goes beyond the screen and permeates the entire creative and production process:
• how we manage resources,
• mobility and our relationship with the territory,
• the representation of environmental issues,
• and the coherence between what we tell and what we do.
A reminder that cinema with soul is not only watched — it is practiced.
