Within the framework of the Conference on Cities and Climate Change, organized by Casa América Cataluña with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council, a debate will be held with four of the most outstanding young environmental activists in Latin America: Nicki Becker (Argentina), Sara Cognuck (Costa Rica), Helena Gualinga (Ecuador) and Julieta Martínez (Chile), who will be accompanied by Colombian human rights activist Francisco Vera.
The Cities and climate change conference will feature the participation of these well-known young activists, who will visit us before going to Xarm-el-Sheikh (Egypt) to participate in COP27 (United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate) this year.
This activity is linked with the Festival's Closing ceremony, which will present the film "Helena de Sarayaku" about the story of Helena Gualinga, known as "The Voice of the Forest" and her task to save the Ecuadorian Amazon
