The sea and fishing have been the origin of many ways of life and traditions. The presence of fishermen has given shape and identity to many towns, neighbourhoods and cities all over the world. However, due to the decrease in fishery resources, many of them are disappearing. And with them, their tradition and influence. Un barrio de mar takes us into the life of fishermen in the neighbourhood of Barceloneta, which nowadays is a little-known community and which struggles to keep going and survive in an environment which has little to do with the city that saw them come into existence.
