Mamá. Soy campo y soy ciudad tells the story of three generations of women from an indigenous Ecuadorian family. Their testimony shows the difficulties of being an indigenous woman: victims of structural violence in a patriarchal and racist society, their struggle unites them. The silent battle of these women in the countryside encourages us to conceive nature as a body, with life and rights. Showing the duality between countryside and city which has shaped the feminist discourse of contemporary society, this documentary is an example of the daily strife of these women, divided between two lands.
